Why Ikigai
You may have noticed that I haven't written in weeks. Maybe someone somewhere in the world will wonder where they are, but most likely not. It's okay with me, in fact I'm happy.
I came to the conclusion that I want a space for my ideas, I founded Ikigai so that it would become the outlet of my city, of the people I love and of those I will one day know. Ikigai was born to give voice to those who are not has and stutters, yet I myself began to stutter. We are close to 500 views totals for the blog, which is a stratospheric number if I think back to how I started just a few months ago and with all the turmoil in between.
I want and promise to organize something special by then.
But until then I want this blog to be something interesting to read, I want to digest the art I consume before throwing it back on paper and I don't want to be my version of Google. I want this blog to become my common place book. Our book and our history.
It doesn't matter if I have two views per article, I no longer want to chase what I can't control, I just want to write and store a piece of my brain here. A piece of our art community, our local artists and movements.
I came to this earth to listen to music, to read and to write. I came to this earth to paint indelible lines and I will, after all what else is left but to gorge pigs with art?
Yours sincerely,
Itward
